Lauren Eckert, MS, LPC-IT
Hello! My name is Lauren Eckert, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - In Training (LPC-IT) at Lighthouse Counseling. I recently completed my internship here at Lighthouse and graduated in May 2024 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Drug and Alcohol Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
During my educational journey, I had the privilege of completing my practicum experience at a nonprofit clinic in downtown Milwaukee, where I worked with diverse populations. I engaged with clients navigating intimate partner violence, attachment issues, and more.
I am passionate about several areas, including spirituality, women's issues, and relational dynamics. I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered. It is a privilege for me to walk alongside individuals on their unique journey toward healing and growth. I believe in a flexible therapeutic approach, drawing from various techniques, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I look forward to contributing to the transformative work at Lighthouse Counseling and being part of our clients' pursuit of well-being and resilience.
