Kelley Steeves, MS, LPC-IT
My name is Kelley Steeves and I am a psychotherapist here at Lighthouse Counseling. My mission is to help others reach their full potential through the pursuit of individual goals, creating healthier relationships, or getting “unstuck” from whatever they feel is holding them back. My approach to therapy is to fully understand what is happening in your life and to use various strategies and techniques individualized to your current needs.
I have multiple years of experience treating OCD and other anxiety disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP.) I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for the treatment of OCD, tailoring treatment to the best outcome for you.
Schema Therapy, ACT, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are other techniques I make use of to help those with various anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues and stressors, emotion regulation concerns, and personality disorders. I work best with those who really want to dig deep and look at patterns in their life that are no longer serving them.
I also utilize many of the previously mentioned treatment modalities to work with couples going through relationship issues, with the ultimate goal of improving communication. Working with parents who may be struggling with mental health issues while trying to be at their best for their kids is also a passion of mine, and I am especially interested in supporting the unique needs of pregnant and postpartum women.
I truly hope that each person finds a therapist to help them through the treacherous waters that life tends to throw at us and that I may be that therapist for you!
