Depression
Depression is a debilitating mood disorder that goes beyond typical feelings of sadness or temporary lows. It envelops individuals in a pervasive sense of hopelessness, emptiness, and despair, impacting their thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. People with depression may experience a loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed, changes in appetite and sleep patterns, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, and difficulty concentrating. The condition can be isolating, making it challenging for individuals to express their emotions or seek help. Depression affects not only the person experiencing it but also their relationships and overall functioning. However, with the right treatment, which may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both, along with social support, those suffering from depression can find relief and embark on a journey towards healing and recovery.
